A guide for the mentors training of practical classes

The role of the mentors of practical classes in companies is key to adequately achieving the learning outcomes of the curriculum for which students are studying. A mentor is an educator, a protector, a motivator, an evaluator, an adviser, and more. The role is complex and therefore special attention should be paid to adequate mentors training and their continuous improvement.

Despite the great strides in the field of arranging practical classes for business entities that are made by certain parts of BiH in the past few years, the area of training of mentors is still not adequately regulated.

A guide for the mentors training in companies is a training program that is taken over by the Foundation Helvetas Moja Budućnost and upgraded from the program Prilika Plus which was implemented with the support of the Government of Switzerland.

The guide is the result of joint work of the employees of the Pedagogical Institute and the Institute for Education Mostar within the implementation framework of the project which is carried out by the Association of the Entrepreneurs of Herzegovina in cooperation with the Agency for Economic Development “PRVI KORAK” d.o.o. from Konjic, with the support of Foundation Helvetas Moja Budućnost project.

The goal is to ensure, through this project, the network of actors which will advocate adequate legal solutions, and thus contribute to ensuring practical curriculum quality of economy subjects.
