Webinars held!

Foundation Helvetas Moja Budućnost project organized on May 19, 2020, two webinars: “Practical classes organized in businesses in Republika Srpska, with a focus on the City of Trebinje – legal analysis” and “Practical classes organized in businesses in West Herzegovina, Herzegovina-Neretva and Zenica-Doboj Canton – legal analysis”, to present the results of the Analysis which, for the needs of the project, was done by dmb consulting d.o.o. Sarajevo.

Given the growing need for economic entities to be more actively involved in conducting practical classes, as well as to create conditions for its more efficient implementation, the aim of the Analysis was not only to point out weaknesses and shortcomings but to draw conclusions, identify good practices and offer recommendations, which, if applied, could contribute to a more adequate functional arrangement and realization of practical classes.

The main topics that were discussed:

  1. Review of the existing legislation related to the implementation of practical classes;
  2. Engagement of students in practical classes in economic entities from the aspect of labor and social law;
  3. Protection and safety of students in practical classes organized in businesses;
  4. Student Accident Insurance during practical classes organized in businesses;
  5. Protection against infectious diseases of students in practical classes organized in businesses;
  6. Reimbursement of transportation costs, food costs, and other fees or rewards for students in practical classes organized in businesses with the tax treatment of these fees;
  7. Contractual regulation of practical classes organized in businesses.

The webinars were attended by over 50 representatives of relevant ministries and other government institutions, companies, chambers, employers’/entrepreneurs’ associations, schools, city administrations, and other participants at targeted local levels.

Foundation Helvetas Moja Budućnost with its local partners continues to intervene in the target area, taking into account the recommendations arising from the discussions and supporting local solutions.
